How to use
Press "Choose files" and pick your pictures. You can choose up to 20 at once.
Enter the watermark text, and choose its size, strength, color and position. The preview shows it at once.
Press "Add watermark". Check the preview, then press "Save" to save the new pictures.
Questions
Are my pictures sent anywhere?
No. Reading your pictures and making the new ones both happen on your device. Nothing is sent out after you choose a picture.
Is the text the same size on every picture?
The size follows the shorter side of each picture, so the watermark looks the same on large and small pictures.
Which font is used?
A sans-serif font that is already on your device. No font is downloaded, so the letters can look a little different on each device.
Does a watermark stop people from copying my pictures?
Not on its own. A watermark can be cut off or painted over. Use it as a mark that makes people think twice.
Does the location or other hidden information stay?
No. The new pictures have no location, date or device information. They have no orientation information either: the picture itself is saved upright.
What are the saved files called?
They get names with their number, such as "watermarked-1.jpg", because the original file name often includes the date the photo was taken. Two or more pictures are saved together in one ZIP file.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. Phone browsers may not be able to make very large pictures (such as photos from recent phones) at their full size. Then the tool makes the picture as large as that device can handle, and shows the old and the new size. Inside apps such as LINE, saving may not work. If so, open the page again in Safari or Chrome.
Limits
- The text is one line, up to 100 characters.
- Moving pictures (GIF, moving WebP or PNG) become a still picture of their first frame.
- Photos with a wide range of colors (such as photos from recent phones) are drawn again in the usual range (sRGB), so very bright colors can become a little softer.
- One file can be up to 50 MB, and a picture up to 50 megapixels. HEIC (the photo format of iPhones) works only in browsers that can open it (mainly Safari).
- We cannot protect against things in your own environment, such as browser extensions.
